Product description

Super wide 50mm tubeless able clinchers in three different widths 34mm, 37mm, 40mm (you can run tubes no problems though).

General tyre size rule for 34mm wide wheel is (Tyres 25mm, 28mm, 30mm 32mm) 37mm wide wheel is (Tyres 28mm, 30mm, 32mm, 34mm, 36mm). 40mm wide wheel is (Tyres 32mm, 34mm, 36mm, 38mm, 40mm and any size up that fits your frame).

If you are running tubes (instead of tubeless) then the boundary layer of the tube protects from burping which allows you to use smaller tyres on these wide rims (eg 25mm tyre on a 34mm wide rim).

For tubeless though this is not allowed so please check ETRTO guidelines but a 28mm minimum tyre or above is needed for 25mm internal (these guidelines can change so please check ETRTO yourself). Consider running tubes with sealant in tubeless or clincher tyres as it provides almost all the benefit with none of the hassle/danger.

This is not my rule, it is a general safety factor that makes sense. Road tubeless tyres can sit inbound of the burp hook which might allow instant pressure loss after burping as the pressure turns from a seating force to a de-seating force (air likes path of least resistance).

My rims are hooked which stops blow offs but you can still have an instant air evacuation with hooks. Wider tyres reduce this through the outbound seating force on the tyres casing.

MTB as a comparison does not have this problem due to the tyres casing ballooning and self seating after a burp (MTB also have a lot more air to lose vs road).
